 1. Definition and alias 

 Pneumatic fluorine-lined butterfly valve, also known as pneumatic-lined anti-corrosion butterfly valve, is a valve with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) lined butterfly plate with a spherical sealed surface. This valve is driven by a pneumatic actuator to quickly cut off or adjust the flow rate. 

 

2. Working principle 

 The working principle of the pneumatic lined fluorine butterfly valve is based on the drive of the pneumatic actuator and the sealing performance of the fluoroplastic lining. The pneumatic actuator receives control signals (such as 4-20mA current signals or 0-10V voltage signals) and converts them into mechanical energy through the force of compressed air. The mechanical energy drives the valve stem to rotate, and then drives the butterfly plate to rotate 90 degrees in the valve body. The rotation of the butterfly plate realizes the opening and closing of the valve, thus controlling the opening and closing of the fluid. The fluoroplastic lining forms a sealing barrier between the butterfly plate and the valve body wall, which effectively prevents medium leakage.

 Strong corrosion resistance: Fluoroplastic lining has excellent corrosion resistance and can resist the erosion of a variety of corrosive media, which is especially suitable for strong corrosive media such as acids and alkalis.

In addition, switchable or adjustable actuators can also be selected according to the requirements of working conditions.

 Pneumatic fluorine-lined butterfly valves are widely used in medium regulation and flow control in chemical, pharmaceutical, petroleum, food and other industrial fields. It is especially suitable for applications in harsh environments such as high temperature and high pressure, such as petrochemical, electric power, steel and other industries. At the same time, it is also suitable for transporting dust, particles, fibers and other solid particle media. 

 

6. Precautions 

 Although the pneumatic fluorine-lined butterfly valve has excellent corrosion resistance and sealing performance, it is limited by temperature and is generally suitable for media between -50℃150℃ (or -50℃180℃). 

 For the medium temperature and pressure are too high or the process medium is granular, the pneumatic fluorine-lined butterfly valve should be carefully selected, and the use of a butterfly valve with metal sealing material may be considered.
